Mission
United Way of Randolph County provides leadership to raise funds and to partner with others to build a stronger, healthier community.
United Way of Randolph County was founded in 1956 as the United Fund of Greater Asheboro. The first campaign goal was only $36,000, but with Mr. T. Henry Redding serving as the chair, over$56,000 was raised to benefit 10 agencies. Since then, the citizens of Randolph County have come a very long way allowing the United Way of Randolph over the past 50 years.
As the needs of the community have changed, United Way has adopted three impact areas:
EDUCATION, INCOME and HEALTH. Last year, United Way raised $1.1 Million locally to fund communtiy based programs. Through 20 local agencies, United Way of Randolph Countyis Making a difference in our community.

United Way collaborates with partner agencies, businesses and government agencies, civic organizations, churches and schools to address community issues.
Community involvement and volunteer leadership are key elements of our success. United Way is fortunate to have numerous volunteers and committed leadership.
