Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP)
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) provides federal funding to help local organizations supplement and expand emergency food and shelter services.
United Way of Randolph County works with the Randolph County EFSP Local Board to administer EFSP funding locally and distribute available funds to eligible organizations serving Randolph County.
Phase 42 Funding - Application Deadline: September 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Randolph County has been awarded $45,394 through Phase 42 of the Emergency Food and Shelter Program.

Randolph County has been awarded $36,856 through Phase 43 of the Emergency Food and Shelter Program.

Who Can Apply?
Organizations selected to receive EFSP funding must:
• Be a private voluntary nonprofit organization or eligible public agency
• Be eligible to receive federal funds
• Maintain an accounting system
• Demonstrate the capability to provide emergency food and/or shelter services
• Maintain a voluntary board if the organization is a private voluntary nonprofit
• Have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI)
• Have a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN)
EFSP funding may only be used for eligible direct assistance.
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on September 20, 2026.
Applications are available through the links above. An application may also be requested by emailing sbaker@uwrandolph.org.
Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. Funding decisions are made by the Randolph County EFSP Local Board in accordance with EFSP requirements.
